Making Traveling Easier!

"Quit Your Job, Buy A Ticket, Get A Tan, Fall In Love, Never Return."

It’s summa time!! Whether it’s to the beach, a tourist destination or to visit loved ones, airports are packed all summer long as prime vacation season is upon us.  We have 10 simple tips for you to help make your travel just a little more smooth during your next flight!

1. Pack what you can in your carry on! Such as that adorable new outfit from Bronze Coconut, your Hanky Panky underwear in a Ziploc bag incase security needs to dig through your bag, your camera, & your make-up bag!

2. Roll your clothes when packing, whether it is in your carry on or suitcase. You will not believe how much more you can fit!

3. Plan out and pack your outfits for the week(end) so you know you have the appropriate attire for each occasion. Also have back up plans because the weather is never correct!

4. Download your airline's mobile app. This will make everything, from beginning to end, a much smoother and quicker process.

5. If shopping is on the agenda (which it always is!), maybe pack a small, extra bag in case you need to check it on the trip home.

6. Take an empty water bottle to refill after getting through security so you don't have to pay $5 for a water bottle! Stay hydrated!

7. Bring a lightweight sweater because airports and planes can get very chilly. When having the layover in Chicago, the blazer I had on didn't suffice and a winter coat was probably needed!

8. Take a picture of where you parked! My boyfriend and I made the mistake of "we will remember" when traveling to San Francisco during Spring Break last year. After 65 minutes of three carry-ons, two suitcases and I had switched to wedges for class that Monday morning; let's just say I was not a happy traveler.

9. If you don't mind being bare foot for thirty seconds through security, it is much less hassle to wear slip on or simple strappy shoes.

10. Wear minimal makeup! If you are meeting someone when getting off, quickly wash your face once you land and do your makeup at your final destination. "Less is more" is definitely the case when it comes to doing your make-up: light foundation, bronzer and mascara will do if you feel it is necessary.

Time for Tie-Dye!

“People Will Stare. Make It Worth Their While.” Harry Winston

This boho chic look is perfect for the girl who is feeling to go all-natural for the day! Just let your hair down and put on minimal make-up and you are good to go! Whether it is paired with a white, turquoise or red camisole/tank, this look is super cute!

Alexsia paired a white Skinny Tees Camisole with a Red and Turquoise Tye-Dye maxi skirt with tons of accessories. Skinny Tees are perfect for every day wear as they are snug fitting, do not roll up and are long enough to wear over those hip-hugging jeans that don’t quite fit! Throwing on simple, brown strappy sandals would go hand and hand with this bohemian look!

She threw on multiple turquoise rings and a red and turquoise Opal Avenue Bracelet. These JUST arrived in the Bronze Coconut Boutique on Saturday and we are in love with them! They can be stacked in so many ways and color combinations and Alexsia did it just perfectly for this outfit. To finish, she also threw on a rose headband that are $5 & are currently BOGO half off in the boutique! We all know that florals are hot, hot, HOT! We cannot wait to see you soon & stay tuned for our next post!

Bronzed, Beautiful & Blogging!

“Fashion is what you buy. Style is what you do with it.” – Unknown.
I am beyond myself with excitement over my first blog post and to have this opportunity to share my passions and insights during my summer internship at Bronze Coconut Tanning & Boutique!

The drive behind this blog is to not only share the weekly life at Bronze Coconut but to give you a "behind the scene" look at what Micah and I do, to share what inspires us, our excitements, ideas and to also share a bit of my personal life with all of you!
Here are some things to allow you to get to know the owner, Micah, a little better:
~ How did this idea begin?
~ It all began with a thought about franchising a tanning salon. But my fiancĂ©, Chris, and I wanted more... we wanted to have something to call our own.  And one of my first passions in life was fashion, as I went to Kent State to pursue my fashion interest. So, we decided to combine the two and have the best of both worlds... tanning and a boutique!

~What is one thing every woman should have in her closet?
~ Every woman should have a romper or jumpsuit in her closet. Anyone who knows me knows that I stay extremely busy and don't have a ton of time to get ready every day. What better way to save time than to put your entire outfit on in one step!? Plus, they are extremely versatile and can be used for work, play, or date night!

~ What do you love about your job?
~ I love the people! I get to meet new people, make new friends, and carry conversations all the time. And it's so rewarding to see the satisfaction on their faces when they can feel how much I care about their experience!
